The U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team, got a tough draw for the 2015 World Cup as they drew Sweden (Ranked 5th in the World), Australia (10) and Nigeria (35) when the draw was made a short while ago. The teams compete in Group D and will play in Winnipeg and Vancouver.
England were drawn in Group F and will face France, Mexico and Colombia in Moncton and Montreal.
The 2015 World Cup will see 24 teams participate for the first time, up from the previous 16.
The format is similar to the men’s game with the top two of each group automatically advancing to the Round of 16 where a knock out format follows.
The 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup begins on June 6th in Canada, with the World Cup Final scheduled for July 5th in Vancouver.
