Orlando City SC announced on Monday that Kevin Molino (pictured below), Darwin Ceren and Tommy Redding have been called up for international duty by their respective national teams.
Both Ceren and Molino will participate in two international friendlies, on Wednesday, June 4 and Saturday, June 7, against top teams in the world. Meanwhile, Redding has been called up by the U.S. U18 Men’s National Team for the Junior International Tournament in Portugal.
Molino and the Trinidad and Tobago National Team are set to face Argentina, who is currently in preparation for the 2014 FIFA World Cup, before traveling to Brazil to face Iran. Molino will have the opportunity to face some of the best players in the world, as Argentina’s roster is comprised with numerous star players, including Lionel Messi, Angel Di Maria and Sergio Aguero.
Ceren (pictured above), who is currently the captain of the El Salvador National Team, will join his home country for matches against both the Ivory Coast and Spain, who are also in preparation mode for the upcoming World Cup. El Salvador is set to take on the Ivory Coast in Dallas, TX, before traveling to Washington D.C. to face the defending World Cup Champions.
Homegrown MLS signing, Tommy Redding (pictured above) is set to travel to Lisbon, Portugal for matches against Benefica’s U19 side, Norway, Portugal and Sweden. Redding, who missed the early portion of the 2014 season due to an injury, has started in City’s last three league games, displaying veteran-like tendencies with his decision making and composure.
All three players will be unavailable for City’s match on Saturday against the Montreal Impact Reserves at ESPN Wide World of Sports, but will be back in time for the Lions’ fixture against the Orange County Blues on Wednesday, June 11.
