Spring Break in Orlando Orlando, Florida’s most popular destination, is the perfect spot to spend your spring break, whether with friends or with your family. A spring break in Orlando will give you the much needed respite from busy schedules at work or at school. Orlando is a fun destination that’s warm practically year round and Spring break is a particularly wonderful time to visit the sun soaked destination. With the ever going number of tourists to this place, there are several new attractions/offers and entertainment events organized every year. The year 2010 will be no different! Read on to learn what all can be done in a week in Orlando.
1. Walt Disney World: most of us have grown up watching Walt Disney’s several delightful cartoons and animation series, and all of us have at least once wanted to visit the land of these innovative characters. There’s so much to do at Disney World and spring break is a great time to visit for the Epcot International Flower & Garden Show as well as for other great events such as Star Wars Weekends. If you are planning to bring your pet with you on vacation then be sure to check out the newly introduced facilities like boarding, grooming and day camp for your pets. With activities like nature walk and play group, even your pets will enjoy having their day out in the sun. Disney really is the “happiest place on Earth” with great rides for little kids, wholesome family entertainment, and, of course… The Mouse
2. Universal Studios Orlando: experience all the ‘behind the scene’ action from your favorite movies or enjoy the most thrilling rides in any of the two theme parks. Universal Orlando has more than 50 great restaurants and 60 shopping venues to indulge your senses and is the place you can meet your favorite marvel comic heroes and ride with the Simpson’s or Spiderman. At Universal you can get a sneak peak at the making of movies, ride roller coasters, check out exhibits devoted to your favorite movie stars and experience shows and parades.
3. SeaWorld Orlando: at the world’s premier marine adventure park you can enjoy and experience over 200 acres of world class shows, thrilling rides and animal encounters. You can watch dolphins jump through hoops or even spend a day taking care of them by being a “trainer for the day”. You can visit penguins, sharks, polar bears, manta rays, sea lions and of course, no visit to SeaWorld is complete until you have been splashed by Shamu, the killer whale!
Other great places to visit on a spring break in Orlando include Gatorland- a fully working alligator farm spread on 110 acres of land. The facility allows you to get close to alligators as you learn many new things about them. You can visit Silver Springs and view this 350 acre all natural spring on its famous glass bottom boats. There’s also places like: Fun Spot Action Park- which houses 4 unique go-kart tracks; Kennedy Space Center – here you can tour Launch Areas, eat space food and even train in spaceflight simulators or why not make a visit to the famous upside down house- Wonderworks which should feature high on your list of places to visit on your Spring Break in Orlando.
Finally, if you fancy a day away from all the action, then a short drive to the beaches on the Gulf or Atlantic coasts will provide you with plenty of fun, rest and relaxation. So head to Orlando this Spring break…there’s a lot to see and do.
