This morning, SeaWorld Orlando animal care experts released a male manatee at Kars Park in North Merritt Island, Fla. He was rescued in January due to cold stress and had been recovering in SeaWorld’s rehabilitation facility for the past eight months. The release went smoothly, and as you can see from the video below, he immediately found many other manatees in the area to learn the ropes from.
