The 8th Annual Runaway Country Music Festival will return to Kissimmee, Florida at Osceola Heritage Park this weekend starting Friday March 23rd running through to Sunday 25th March 2018. It’s your chance to come out and see some of country music’s hottest stars with one ticket – featuring Florida Georgia Line, Darius Rucker, Brantley Gilbert and many more.
It’s a great way to start the weekend as you can dance or sing along to forget the stresses of everyday life for a few hours. The event features two stages, the Main Stage and the My Apartment stage. The My Apartment stage features some of the up and coming talent in Florida and will kick things off on Friday afternoon at 1.00pm with Diamond Dixie followed by Kelsey Lamb, Spayed Koolie, Muscadine Bloodline and Little Texas. The first to see action on the Main Stage will be Mackenzie Carey at 2pm followed by High South, Grayson Rogers, Walker Hayes and Brantley Gilbert.
Saturday’s action will see Reed Foley hit the main stage at 1.30pm followed by Ashley McBryde, William Michael Morgan, Brett Young and Florida Georgia Line. My Apartment will feature Kamryn Palmer at 2.30pm with Cross Atlantic, The Steel Woods, Natalie Stovall and Parmalee rounding things off for the day.
Sunday is the final day of the festival and Randy McNeeley Band feature on the Main Stage at 1.00pm followed by LANCO, Cassadee Pope, Kane Brown and Darius Rucker. The Apartment sees Jericho Woods at 1.30PM followed by Carli Ann Tuttle (pictured in photo above), Adam Craig, Sundance Head and Here Come the Mummies.
Show Producer Gary McCann (pictured above) spoke to us about the event as preparations continued today, “We started eight years ago in 2011, in Melbourne and the event has grown considerably. Of course being over here in Kissimmee, it is an international destination being so close to the attractions so we get a lot of people visiting from overseas and from all over the country. They’re either coming to visit Runaway Country and then doing the attractions or they are doing the attractions and then coming to Runaway Country.”
Talking about the talent on stage this year McCann said,“From really young hot acts like Kane Brown who set a record for having five number ones in five different charts at the same time to Brett Young whose one of the hottest rising stars to classic artists who are still hit makers like Darius Rucker and Florida Georgia Line plus we have some really outstanding local talent and we love to give them the stage time they need. From the upstarts to the superstars it’s all here.”
