Visitors to the O-Town MacDown at Orange County Convention Center today had a lot of fun as they participated in a delicious “food fight” cooking competition featuring professional chefs and restaurants as well as home cooks and non-profit organizations.

Everyone came together for the “cook off” to see just who could make the most delicious mac-n-cheese in Orlando. Visitors were able to wander from booth to booth trying out each dish and then they had to place a token in a jar at the booth they thought was the very best.

At the end of the day the Orlando Mac-n-Cheese Champion was announced with other prizes awarded in various categories. The event was sponsored by SeaWorld and proceeds went to benefit Give Kids The World in Kissimmee.  The event included live entertainment, celebrity chef cooking demonstrations, live performances, a kids’ fun zone including face painting, bounce houses and macaroni art station, theme park character meet-and-greets and vendor booths.

Vendors included our friends from Medieval Times (pictured above right), Orlando Science Center, Wonder Works and The “Outta” Control Dinner Show.
