Nude Nite, the largest nude art show in the U.S., opens its doors in Orlando this Valentine’s weekend for its annual exhibition of art and entertainment. Nude Nite exhibits over 200 original works in a 20,000 SF pop-up gallery setting allowing thousands of art enthusiasts to view and purchase artist’s works. The juried show has gained a national reputation for exhibiting artists who are breaking boundaries through figurative works.
The 2015 show theme “Extreme Dreams” transforms an industrial warehouse into a kaleidoscope of art and performance, transporting guests to a playground for the unconscious mind. “Dreams evoke what is constantly running but is often suppressed, unexplainable and open to interpretation.” director Kelly Stevens says. “Anything can happen in a dream because the conscious mind is liberated from outside influences. To dream is to be free. It’s the purest state an artist can enjoy.”
Guests at Nude Nite will explore these dream-like experiences through installations and interactive artworks, and Nude Nite will again embrace the growing popularity of performance artists by introducing duration performances by UCF MFA graduate students. Patrons can spin the “Wheel of Fortune” for potential revelations about their future, escape the dimensions of reality by swaying in an over-sized rocking chair with a living doll, and witness the metamorphosis of a human butterfly. Also artist Marla E will recreate Kim Kardashian’s Paris photo shoot, painting with caviar, champagne and lipstick pastels, and artist Katelynn Liepins will transform herself into a human paper doll by allowing the guests to design her fashionable appearance.
Guest can expect Nude Nite’s saucy burlesque shows at the “top” of every hour beginning at 9pm,
10pm, and 11pm with performances by Donna Hood, the reigning Miss Viva Las Vegas (one of the top titles in the Burlesque Industry!), and Bella Blue from New Orleans.
Special male guests, the Rock Hard Revue, will perform on Thursday evening, and each night will end with an onstage Champagne bubble bath in homage to the classic burlesque acts of the early twentieth century. In addition, expect to be entertained by world-class body painters, aerialists, stilt walkers and the unusual cast of strolling characters around every corner.
The upcoming 2015 shows are held in Orlando February 12, 13, and 14 at 5150 LB McLeod Road. Orlando, FL 32811 from 6pm – midnight. Must be 21 to attend.
