Rock ‘n’ roll legends Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons were in Orlando today as they hosted a veterans’ luncheon at the Rock and Brews Oviedo location.
Stanley and Simmons along with local Rock & Brews multi-unit franchise partners Scott Paul & Kris Maronpot, Rock & Brews President & CEO Michael “Sully” Sullivan invited local veterans for a ribs and chicken lunch and also presented a $7,500 check to Fisher House Orlando, a local veterans organization. This evening the pair will host a a private evening fundraiser at the new Rock and Brews Orlando airport location on South Semoran.
The Rock and Brews Orlando location actually opened in April and the chain decided against a grand opening in favor of today’s events. The group also gave out further news on a new location that will open on US192 in Kissimmee in the next year. According to Paul, a lease recently was signed for an area near the 300-acre, $750 million Margaritaville resort, just southwest of Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
“Our goal is to start construction by September,” said Paul.
If you haven’t visited Rock and Brews yet but love good food and great music, a visit really is highly recommended. The venue features a classic rock theme and a comfortable vibe with plenty of space to stretch out and enjoy the extensive menu. Walls full of rock-inspired murals, album cover art and concert photography frame the collection of booths, tables and high-top seating in the main dining area while the outdoor patio space features its own bar, fire pits and a dog-friendly environment. Menu items include comfort foods ranging from Sgt. Pepper’s Jalapeño Poppers and a selection of half-pound hot dogs to gourmet salads and market-fresh, wood-fired steaks and salmon.
