USL PRO honored its top performers of the season today, recognizing Orlando City soccer midfielder Kevin Molino (pictured above being lifted by teammates) as the Most Valuable Player (MVP). Molino claimed his second career USL PRO MVP award after a record-breaking season for the Lions.
During the 2014 campaign, the Club’s first Major League Soccer (MLS) signing was an instrumental part of the Lions’ potent attack, generating unprecedented success. In City’s final season before entering North America’s top-flight, the Trinidadian notched a league-record 20 goals in 27 appearances – surpassing the previous mark set by Dom Dwyer and Jose Angulo by five goals.
In addition, Molino led USL PRO with nine assists, setting a league record with 49 points. Orlando City finished the Regular Season seven points clear at the top of the table, claiming its third Regular Season Championship in four seasons.
