Jordan Spieth convincingly won the Hero World Challenge held at Isleworth Golf & Country Club in Windermere this weekend.
Finishing ten (10) shots clear of second place Henrik Stenson and 26 shots ahead of tournament host Tiger Woods, Spieth announced himself to the golf world as being the man to watch in 2015. Fresh from winning the Australian Open last week, Spieth showed no signs of jet lagged as he cruised around the challenging Central Florida course.
“It was the most fun I ever had playing nine holes of golf,” Spieth said after a final round of 6 – under 66.
The 10-shot victory was the largest margin of the year in golf, and broke the tournament record of seven shots that Woods had in 2007.
It even prompted Woods himself to say “He’s playing some pretty special golf right now.”
Patrick Reed, a late addition to the field after Jim Furyk pulled out with an injury and Keegan Bradley tied for third at 15 under, 11 shots back.
