The Orlando City Foundation and the Kate & Justin Rose Foundation hosted the first Kicks for Kids FootGolf Tournament at The Ritz-Carlton Golf Club at Grande Lakes this morning. Celebrities from both the soccer and golf world participated in a fun event that saw lots of money raised to benefit many children in Central Florida.
The unique event paired one celebrity golfer or soccer player with each three-some in a FootGolf match played on the golf clubs regulation course.
“Kicks for Kids is a wonderful opportunity to bring two popular sports together to benefit our community,” said Kate Rose, president of the Kate & Justin Rose Foundation. “This is a great way to bring two foundations with similar missions and goals of helping children in need. The proceeds from this event will impact many children in the Greater Orlando area.”
“We have established some of Orlando’s most unique and entertaining events with the goal to raise funds for a vast number of children-geared programs in our community, along with our dedicated partners,” said Kay Rawlins, the president and community relations director for Orlando City Foundation.
