The 2014 Hero World Challenge begins today at Isleworth Golf & Country Club in Winderemere and the event sees the return to action of a certain Tiger Woods.
Woods begins his journey back to fitness after several months out with back problems and he heads a pack of 18 of the world’s finest golfers hoping to take the title home.
The Hero World Challenge now has 15 years under its belt and every year attracts a top field of competitors. The event comes to Isleworth for the first time and Woods said “I’m looking forward to another exciting year of competition at Isleworth, a course I love. We are thrilled about the depth and talent of our field, and it’s great to welcome Hero MotoCorp as the tournament’s title sponsor.”
The field this year comprises of Bubba Watson, Henrik Stenson, Patrick Reed, Justin Rose, Jason Day, Rickie Fowler, Matt Kuchar, Billy Horschel, Jordan Spieth, Graeme McDowell, Zach Johnson, Chris Kirk, Jimmy Walker, Hideki Matsuyama, Hunter Mahan, Keegan Bradley, Steve Stricker and Woods.
