A vicious thunderstorm interrupted the final round of the Arnold Palmer Invitational on Sunday after Woods and Rickie Fowler had played just two holes.
There was still time for Woods to birdie the second hole and establish a three shot lead before play was called off for the day. The storm tore down trees, service tents and scoreboards as players, officials and volunteers huddled into corners of the clubhouse until the tornado warning expired.
Play will resume at 10.00am on Monday and Woods will be trying to win Bay Hill for the eighth time to tie a PGA Tour record. A win would also put Woods at No. 1 in the world for the first time since the final week of October 2010.
