American Idol and Rod Stewart / Stevie Nicks take the Stage at Amway Center
Orlando is set to rock tonight and tomorrow night as first, AMERICAN IDOL LIVE! and then, ROD STEWART / STEVIE NICKS arrive in town on their hit tours. American Idol Live! returns to showcase this season’s talented top 10 finalists. The show has launched the careers of Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, David Cook, Kris Allen, Adam Lambert, Lee DeWyze, Scotty McCreery and tonight, for many, this is the first chance to see their favorites in concert!
The tour launched on Friday, July 6 and wraps up on September 11. AMERICAN IDOL LIVE! gives fans the unique opportunity to be up close and personal with Idol finalists Colton Dixon, DeAndre Brackensick, Elise Testone, Erika Van Pelt, Heejun Han, Hollie Cavanagh, Jessica Sanchez, Joshua Ledet, Phillip Phillips and Skylar Laine, all of whom were announced on Thursday, March 15 on Fox.
The AMERICAN IDOL season finale aired on FOX Wednesday, May 23, but the fan-favorites will continue on with the 2012 live tour. Visit AmericanIdol.com for full list of dates and links.
Tomorrow night, Friday 3rd August, sees Rod Stewart and Stevie Nicks take the stage. The British rocker/crooner and Fleetwood Mac songstress are reprising their co-headlining tour dubbed the “Heart and Soul” Tour this summer. They first toured together in the spring of 2011. Orlando will be the eighth stop of an eleven gig tour culminating in a final performance in Houston on 9th August.
“I couldn’t be happier to be back on the boards with Stevie this summer,” Rod Stewart said. “We had fantastic fun on the road together last spring and I’m thrilled at the chance to bring it to new cities and fans this summer.”
“I had a great time last year on the road with Rod, he is really fun to work with,” says Stevie Nicks. “I am very excited to join him again this year.”
