Big 3 Entertainment and Rowdies Owner Bill Edwards Takes Over Al Lang Stadium
Today the St. Petersburg City Council approved an agreement that turns over the management and operation of Al Lang Stadium to Big 3 Entertainment and Rowdies principal owner Bill Edwards for a term of four years.
Mr. Edwards has committed to invest a minimum of $1.5 million in improvements to the stadium. Additionally, the facility will no longer receive an operating subsidy from the city.
Edwards envisions a plan for Al Lang Stadium that includes a deep cleaning, concessions and restrooms upgrades and an improved fan experience. In addition to the Grand Prix of St. Petersburg and Saturday Morning Market, Big 3 will host numerous other events at the stadium each year.
The Tampa Bay Rowdies will host FC Edmonton on Saturday, October 4 at 7:30 p.m. Kickoff at Al Lang Stadium is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. For tickets, call (877) ROWDIES or click here
